The African strip-woven fabric from Ghana, Ewe cloth, inspired this piece. The weft blocks are enhanced by designs, representing the identity of the maker.  To make this piece I chose symbols that are important in my life.

Materials: Cotton fabrics, fabric paint, batting, polyester thread

Techniques: All fabrics were created by the artist through direct printing and monoprinting using a Plexiglas plate, fabric paints and marking tools. Machine pieced. Machine quilted.
